HOW We Approach Medicine
We are a group of naturopathic physicians trained in both conventional and alternative medicines who seek to understand the cause of your unique health issues so we can work to co-create a focused and effective treatment plan tailored specifically to you. We use a range of diagnostic tools and therapies to test, assess, diagnose, and treat what ails you.
A Personalized & Natural Approach To Wellness And Wellbeing
These days, it’s so easy to get sick and stay sick. Stress turns into a minor illness, which snowballs into chronic discomfort, which affects other areas of your life until one day you realize that you can’t remember ever feeling well. Furthermore, it can sometimes be tough to get all the help you need from traditional medicine alone, especially if all your tests come back “normal,” but you still feel sick.
The good news is, you’re not crazy, and help is available. Born from personal experiences with a naturopath in Tempe, AZ, Veritas Medical Solutions was founded by Dr. Jacquie Leone after seeing how effective naturopathy was in helping her own family reach a new level of health and wellbeing.
Unlike allopathic medicine that focuses on symptom management, not overall wellbeing, naturopathic medicine is a holistic approach that concentrates on the entire person. That means at Veritas Medical Solutions, we focus on the whole health of your body, mind, and spirit to create a unique and personalized wellness plan that’s designed just for you, not masking your symptoms.
Our In-Depth Approach & What to Expect
Dr. Leone’s approach to care includes in-depth and personal consultations, as well as unique and thorough lab testing that goes beyond the typical tests most regular physicians use to provide you with proven treatment solutions for:
- Low Energy
- Skin problems
- Dietary issues
- Nutrient deficiencies
- Body Aches
- Hormone imbalances
- Stretch Marks
- Women’s Health issues
- Sun Damage
- Food Allergies
- Stress and Anxiety
Free 15-minute Initial Consultations
At Veritas Medical Solutions in Tempe, AZ, we want you to feel comfortable. We also want you to have all the facts so you can decide if our approach to naturopathic medicine is right for you. That’s why we always start your treatment with a free 15-minute consultation where you’ll be able to tell Dr. Leone your health history and your concerns so she can help you decide if naturopathy alone is right for you or if you also need to be referred to another physician for additional care.
Once you decide if the Veritas Medical Solutions approach to care is right for you, we’ll set up your initial consultation with Dr. Leone. You’ll find that this consultation appointment is more in-depth and personal than you’re used to from a regular medical doctor. At your visit, you and Dr. Leone will have time to:
- Discuss your medical history and family medical history.
- Discuss your current health concerns
- Discuss your symptom triggers
- Discuss what you’ve discovered makes symptoms better or worse.
- Discuss feelings, thoughts, and physical sensations you have when your symptoms are triggered.
- Perform a physical exam if needed.
- Request past medical records from other physicians and specialists if necessary.
- Go over diagnosis, testing, and treatment options.
- Order lab tests and any necessary imaging.
- Recommend any natural, herbal, or vitamin treatments.
- Recommend any dietary or lifestyle changes.
- Go over a treatment plan and next steps.
Follow Up Visits
We don’t believe in tying you to a never-ending cycle of on-going treatment that just masks symptoms, but never achieves total wellness. However, to ensure to ensure your treatment is going well and to make any necessary adjustments, follow-up visits are required, especially in the beginning. However, as time goes on, and your health improves, your need for repeat care will decrease, and follow-up appointments will only occur as needed.
